Mobility Assistance Program

Reliable transportation is essential to maintaining employment and achieving financial stability. But for many working individuals, barriers such as limited savings, credit challenges, or driver's license issues make independent transportation difficult.

The Sandra D. Foundation's Mobility Assistance Program is a 12-month support initiative designed to help participants overcome these barriers and develop sustainable transportation solutions.

Participants enrolled in our Scheduled Workforce Transportation Program are automatically enrolled in the Mobility Assistance Program at no additional enrollment step

Our Goal

To help participants move from relying on transportation assistance to maintaining employment with a reliable, sustainable transportation solution of their own.
Transportation Today. Independence Tomorrow.

How the Program Works

1. Transportation Needs Assessment

We identify each participant's transportation challenges, financial circumstances, and long term mobility goals.

2. Financial Education

Participants complete an online financial literacy workshop covering budgeting, credit management, saving, and vehicle affordability.

3. Personalized Mobility Plan

Each participant receives an individualized plan outlining achievable goals and the steps needed to work toward transportation independence.

4. Community Resources & Support

We connect participants with community organizations and resources that may assist with driver's license requirements, driver education, financial counseling, and affordable transportation options.

5. Transition to Independence

Throughout the 12-month period, we monitor progress and help participants prepare for reliable transportation beyond the program.
